Type 83
The Type 83 is a dual-segmented carbon bushing assembly designed to prevent bearing oil migration to dry gas seals. Typically used in a double arrangement with an inert buffer gas, it ensures complete separation of bearing oil and process gas when paired with Type 28 dry-running gas seals, providing a reliable sealing system for compressors.
